About Mark

Mark Hargrove was raised in an Air Force family, where he participated in multiple school sports and band. He is an Eagle Scout, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, and a veteran Air Force pilot. Mark has lived in Covington for the past 21 years. He is currently a Boeing instructor pilot and his union's Secretary Treasurer, teaching pilots from around the world how to fly their new 777's and 747's.

Mark has been married to his wife Sandy for 30 years and is the father of two married daughters. In 2007, he became a grandfather for the first time. Both of his daughters attended Kent public schools from kindergarten through high school. His wife and daughter teach and/or coach at Auburn High School. Mark works in Renton and the family attends church in Black Diamond.

It is Mark's connection to and affection for his neighbors in the 47th district that have brought him to his decision to run again for the State House of Representatives. He recognizes that his neighbors’ priorities are not being addressed by their current legislator. They need an advocate in the state government, and Mark is up to the challenge.
