Mark Hargrove was raised in an Air Force family, where he participated in multiple school sports and band. He is an Eagle Scout, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, and a veteran air force pilot. Mark has lived in Covington for the past 20 years. He is currently an instructor pilot for Boeing, where he teaches other pilots from around the world how to fly new 777’s and 747’s.

Mark has been married to his wife Sandy for 29 years and is the father of two married daughters. Last summer, he became a grandfather for the first time. Both of his daughters attended Kent public schools from kindergarten through high school. His wife and daughters all teach and/or coach at Auburn High School.

It is Mark’s connection to and affection for his neighbors in the 47th district that have brought him to his decision to run for the State House of Representatives. He recognizes that his neighbors’ priorities are not being addressed by their current legislator. They need an advocate in the state government, and Mark is up to the challenge.
